If you need an appointment sooner rather than later, definitely go here but schedule your day because they do take a really long time. My appointment was at 12:45. I was in the waiting room until about 1:30 then I would place in another waiting room for another hourand I finally left at almost 3 o’clock. Based on the reviews, it seems like it’s pretty common. They are really great. The staff is very nice very considering my only issue is the time.

This appointment was absolutely ridiculous and a complete joke. Prior to my appointment, I was unable to fill out the online patient sign-in sheet. When I arrived, I found that was because my last name and birthdate were both entered wrong. They also took a copy of my insurance, which was at their disposal this entire time. Upon fixing the information, I then sat at the office for another hour and a half until I was finally called up to be told my insurance plan was not accepted, and I was welcome to pay out of pocket. None of my questions were able to be answered, and all my inquiries were met with the offer to, again, fork over my wallet for the appointment. While staff is not rude, they are not necessarily professional as I found the office to be incompetent. Would not return based purely on my experience in the office.

Best place to actually go to. Yeah it may be a long wait and what not but taking care of your body and having animal pap and getting your cervix check is highly important and we women need to take better care of ourselves truthfully and I am glad I found a safe place to go to where there is no discrimination what so ever. The protest outside on Thursdays are annoying but the people who work they are good people who care about us. And I’m glad they helped me go through my process.

I was seen quickly, even when I was late for my appointment. The staff was friendly, especially the nurse practitioner; she ensured I got the care I needed!

I started going here because it can be difficult to get an appointment with the Planned Parenthood on McHenry which is closed more than its open. Sadly, the behavior from staff has been consistently unprofessional at this clinic.I had an appointment to get my third HPV vaccine. It is a 3 shot series, I got the first at Planned Parenthood and my second here 6 months ago. I told the staff, very clearly, at the last appointment that I had a previous shot at Planned Parenthood and they totally understood. For some reason, they still put down my second vaccine as my first. I was getting my third shot today and the nurse went off on me about how I should have told them during my last appointment that it wasnt my first vaccine. I corrected the nurse that I did and she proceeded to tell me off some more about how thats not possible, that it doesnt make sense because they wouldnt put it as the first shot in my paperwork if I had told them it wasnt, blah, blah. I dont know why in the world she thinks she can talk to a client like that and essentially accuse them of lying. Heaven forbid its possible that her staff simply made a mistake, I guess she just has to blame the client instead for egos sake. They also didnt let me know when I need to come back for my next Depo. They have a sign in the lobby with a number to call/text with complaints if you didnt like your visit today so it seems like poor performance is the norm at this place.I dont need to start my morning by being gaslit by some arrogant nurse who just met me 20 seconds go! Ive been here twice and each time its put me in a sour mood for the day. The assistants that actually take you back and do the shots are nice but the two different nurses Ive seen for the consultations have been almost impressive in their ability to find ways to be rude and belittling over nothing. If I tell you that I did already inform the clinic of the previous shot, the proper way to respond is by saying Oh we must have made a mistake filing our paperwork, our bad!. Not by going on a tangent and accusing the client of lying. The training and management at this place needs a total overhaul. This clinic is such a pain and isnt worth it. Looks like Planned Parenthood has rewon my business because I wont be coming back here.

The office is amazingly clean the front desk clerk was very welcoming and nice there was very little wait! My RN was very informative yet with a twist of rude. My phlebotomist was very rough my arm is sore 24h later. But overall it’s a great place for women they are attentive to your concerns.

Loved my visit I felt really comfortable the nurses were really nice and so was the doctor thank you for good service

Last place I like to go to. I work in the medical field and understand the wait but when u have an appt scheduled and u get there early and still have to wait 45mins past your appt time or even longer is so crazy! Ive dealt with rude front staff the last couple times. If you dont love what I do which is customer service, dont work there.Also the doctor really doesnt even seem to care about anything you say, she sees you than moves on to the next patient.Last time I was there to get a Depo the nurse was very rude and quick and stuck me wrong to where it was hurting I stated that and she didnt care also as she pulled the needle so much liquid went squirting everywhere which probably didnt do anything to me. I called and let the manager know my arm was bruised and swollen from the shot and IV e been on this for over two years, I know how it should be and they said I should receive a call in a couple days for the Dr to check it out and its been a week and have heard anything at all. Ridiculous service!

Horrible wait times. Always waiting 30+minutes after scheduled appointment time. Usually arrive 15 minutes before appointment so easily end up waiting 45+ minutes. Despite this Ive seen people only wait 5-10 minutes after arriving even when theres been people before us. I honestly am beginning to think you need to arrive to your appointment 20-30 minutes LATE to be seen quickly.

I’m not going to beat around the bush you guys need to fix whatever you guys are doing because how can you tell me someone who’s been in the lobby waiting for my lady for almost three hours that she’s been checked out and still having her wait in a room while telling her inside that said room that they skipped her and proceed to leave the room communicate better or fix whatever you guys are doing please !!!

So easy to schedule an appointment. Walked in with no insurance they offered me to apply for insurance to cover my service and I was approved. I payed $0 I was only going to get my IUD removed and I end it up getting a pap smear as well !!! Everyone starting at the window to the girls inside and the physician were real nice !! I’m so pleased with my visit !! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I struggle very much with anxiety, and had a lot of nerves about getting an IUD for the first time. Miss Emily could not have been more kind and understanding. I dont think I could have managed to keep my appointment if it wasnt for her giving me encouragement and support. This perfect stranger let me hold her hand, crushing it a bit Im sure, reminded me to breathe, and gave me so much encouragement while I struggled through the appointment. I truly cannot say enough how grateful I am for her kindness. My doctor was also wonderful, very understanding and patient, and she actually suggested getting a nurse in the room to help keep me more calm. It was appreciated that she instantly noticed I was struggling, and her first thought was to get me some back up, some support to help me in whatever way she could. Its rare I come across a doctor that truly considers mental health, and takes care enough to be helpful and understanding, even if it has nothing to do with their field of work.. Overall I very much appreciate the way they handled my having a panic attack in the room, and the way the doctor talked to me and explained every little step. They both really went out of their way to help me, and make the appointment as easy as it could be for me given what I struggle with. I couldnt appreciated them more, and the overall feeling I got from every lady I spoke to in the office was kind and welcoming. For an incredibly hard day for me, it went as well as it could, and its because of the wonderful ladies that work here.

I had my nexplanon implant replaced today at this center. Overall it was an easy process. All of the staff were very professional and nice, and I’m so glad I came here instead of other places I was considering. My NP Linda was awesome and seemed super knowledgeable. She even told me that my previous implant was placed in the totally wrong location!! Scary stuff, but she reassured me the whole time and the procedure took less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately now I have 2 incisions to care for, but I recommend this clinic for everyone in need of care.

Made an appointment for nexplanon removal, which should be a relatively quick procedure. Sat in the waiting room with 6-8 others for over 2 hours past my appointment time. When I asked for an estimate on when I could expect to be seen they didn’t have any idea. I’m generally patient and understanding, I know healthcare is rarely quick, but I ended up having to leave without being seen due to the excessive wait and time constraints. This clinic should really reassess their appointment/scheduling methods as it hinders the accessibility of their care.

The medical assistant that helped me was so sweet! She was very helpful with any questions I asked her as well. I LOVED the Nurse practitioner! She was very aware of what she was doing and made sure I wasn’t hurt and that I left there with anything I needed including questions I may have had.

I had a procedure done at this place 2 days ago. Although plans unexpectedly changed last second, I still chose to continue with my procedure. The nurses/cnas were SO KIND and CARING. They held my hands, reassuring that everything was ok, and wiped my tears. They went above and beyond their job title. I felt safe and cared for. 10/10 experience. From the front desk associate to the doctor! Oh yes, the doctor was amazing as well. Very, very compassionate people here. ❤️

Staff was very welcoming and kind. They’re not judgemental and quite patient. I had an appointment originally here at 12:20 pm but had to wait at least 2-3 hours before I was called in. The only thing I dislike is their long wait times. However, everything else was great. I was pleased with my visit and how everyone was supportive and kind to me.

I’ve been a patient for a few years now, and Linda and the team are great. I had to get my iud replaced this last visit and it was a breeze. Always can count on getting considerate and respectful help whenever needed at this center! FPA is a blessing for women’s health

Whatever services you need regarding women’s health, go HERE. I’ve trusted them with taking care of my health for over 4 years. They always make me feel comfortable during my visit, they take your concerns seriously, work quickly, and are a well organized group. I’m really fearful of needles but the phlebotomists there are always quick and I feel no pain! Thanks Ladies!

WOW. I made an appointment so I could get my birth control taken out and after waiting a hour after my appointment I asked and was brushed off saying I’m second on the list. I asked about how long the normal wait is and she said not long and come to read the reviews where most people waited three hours! I asked if there was a way to speed it up because I had a dentist appointment and the lady couldn’t even find my chart. Then while sitting there waiting and still waiting all I hear is phones ringing while the woman up front laugh and talk. I couldn’t even stay and wait to see if it would be three hours. I will be making my appointment somewhere else for sure. If they get backed up like this often they should inform you when you make an appointment. I don’t understand the point of the appointment

I am so pleased with the staff’s attention and service. The doctors explain every single detail and concerns I had. I feel at home ever time I’m there. My doctor called me the day after my visit to see how I was doing. Everyone is amazing!!!!!

I had to travel after finding out our baby was a loss to have a procedure done. These women were top notch and held my hand the entire time and understood the decision was difficult and not what we had expected. They were caring and professional and made you feel like family. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a difficult time. Thank you!

The staff has always been friendly. My first couple visits were extremely long lasting over 3 hours for each visit. However, my last visit was very fast. Spent a total of 45 minutes including filling out paperwork. I did have an early morning appointment so I’m sure that helped too. I was there for an iud removal and saw dr. Joette and she was extremely helpful and friendly. I did not feel rushed and she answered all of my questions. She also explained all of the steps as she was working. Great experience!

These ladies are amazing. I don’t think they get enough recognition for what they do for women health. They were so short staffed and busy when I went in for my appointment but they were all still so friendly and hospitable. They made sure to offer snacks and water and apologized multiple times for being so busy and the DR was also very lovely which is rare in healthcare sometimes. Call them for anything they have amazing telehealth too

The staff there is amazing. I went in for a procedure and I felt terrified before but they made me feel comfortable, helped me through the entire process and made sure to explain every step of the way. Unfortunately there are protestors outside, but they keep the blinds closed and keep a movie on so that you can’t hear them outside.

Wait time is terrible. My appt. Was at 1:20 did not get seen until 3:30

The nurses are always very nice and understanding. I have had really good experiences with their female doctors although there was a time when I was assigned a male doctor and he was a little insensitive. It was my first time going there for a yeast infection. I had never been examined before or been to a gynecologist so I was shaking and very nervous. He seemed annoyed telling me to be still and relax as he proceeded to examine me without much of a warning and seemed upset that my nerves were making the procedure more complicated. Outside of that I would say the rest of the staff is magnificent. P.S. Also, take into consideration that the incident with the male doctor took place two years ago, so he might no longer work with them.I have gotten Pap smears, birth control, infection treatment, STDs screenings, and other general consultations with them since I started going to the gynecologist. Because I am low income I was able to get all my consultations for free after doing some paperwork to see if I was eligible. I have never done walk-ins with them and scheduling appointments on their website is simple. Depending on the month you can often find openings for appointment in that same week.

My friend had come here and recommended I go there because I had said I wanted to get on birth control. First I called to see what I was covered for and talked to Trish, who was extremely helpful and figured it all out for me and then got me scheduled for that day. When I got there as it was my first time there I had to fill out some basic information which one of the staff members, Shaneka, then went over with me. I got a check up and an IUD, at each point the staff members went over what was happening and what it was for, and when I met with the doctor, Jolene, she talked me through everything and answered all of my questions. Overall it was a great experience and all of the staff were very nice and helpful!

I just dont like the wait time my appointment was for1220 and I didnt get seen until almost 2 other then that I love yall office very respectful and helpful

Awful! They confirmed appt. By text, then said I needed to reschedule. I called and they said, no, not at your location and how I shouldnt have gotten that text. Got off the phone and received another confirmation text. Upon arriving at my appt they said, oh no! We are so sorry you didnt get the correct information. They made me a telehealth appt for the next day. I had my telehealth appt today. I was not comfortable, I felt like I was on their factory line, so impersonal and felt like an inconvenience and my time didnt matter. Im now going elsewhere, not what I expected from them. The lady on the office was kind yesterday, not the case for everyone.

I had appointment for papsmear. Waited 2 and a half hours for just papsmear. If you need simple thing like me go somewhere else. There is only one nurse practitioner at this clinic so you have to wait more than 2 hrs for anything. I never paid for papsmear and with my blue cross blue shield there was $20 copay.

This clinic gives great care! Ive never felt so comfortable at any clinic until today. The girls are so nice and really pay attention to every detail. Ill see your ladies in a month for my follow up😊

Worst clinic wait ever there wait in the lobby after checking in was an hour then they take you back to ANOTHER WAITING AREA my appointment was at 9am wasnt seen for hours finally got out around 3pm and everyone waits this long. They have the same two movies playing the entire time. The only pro to this clinic is from what Ive seen there very clean and very nice. But I personally cant handle making a morning appointment and still having to call into work.

Came here 3 years ago and had the best service and loved it here. 1 star for the service i had today due to poor communication within the staff. I came in and everything went quick and smooth Once I was done with the doctor I came out the room and was looking for the exit to leave and one of the staff members told me to wait inside the waiting room, which confused me cause I thought I was done but I thought they wanted to talk to me so I waited. Hours go by and I ask the lady that sat near the front desk how much longer I had to wait she asked for my name but she not once went to look for my file and then told me that I should be called next.... I sat there for 4 hrs and never got called again. Every time she passed by she seen that I was still there waiting but she never said anything to me or asked anyone anything. At one point she tried to walk on the other side of the hallway so i wouldnt see her smh. More time came by and she finally asked what my name was again and come to find out I was sitting there for no reason.P.s. I went straight there after a 12 hr shift and been up for over 22hrs so could you imagine how frustrating that is 🙃

The women in this office are kind, respectful, and maintain positive attitudes all while working in a difficult type of business! Trish is a fantastic treatment coordinator and she kept the mood in the entire building light and enjoyable - even during a very busy time of day. Im so thankful that they provide the services that they do! Birth control should be available to everyone, and they make it so easy and take the stress out of the situation.

The medical care providers are always very respectful, friendly, and helpful. I have had routine checks like pap tests done here and I like their cleanliness. They are professional to the full extent of the word.

My appointment at 8:30am but they call me at 10:20 am too late service

If I could give less than one star, I would. I drove a long way to an appointment i made literal weeks in advance, only to show up and find that the service provider has “left” for the day... They had no intention of keeping my appointment, or even calling me to let me know. Completely unprofessional. Massive waste of time and resources.

I’ve tried to remove my nexplanon at this health clinic quiet a few times but I am denied every time for some strange reason . The health workers there Emily and Trish have also gave me attitude for no reason . As to where they were no help for me every appointment I’ve scheduled. The FPA clinic says I owe some money for some health services I’ve never gone in for .. so I am not sure why this clinic is treating me that way .. sincerely a concerned woman..

Everyone was very kind and made the process very smooth! The waiting is kind of long but I believe its worth it to get what you need to get done !

They made everything quick and efficient. My wait was not long at all. My NP was amazing! Very kind and reassuring she went over all options with me. I would definitely return.

Been coming here for a couple years now for my womanly check ups and every visit goes great. Their staff is amazing and very helpful. They make you feel as comfortable as possible and offer many services! 10/10!

The Dr. Was awesome and the girl checking me in was great. As far as the rest of the staff... They sucked! The girl taking my blood pressure was just totally unfriendly and rude. She acted like she was put off bye having to deal with me.

The staff exceeded my expectations by far. I could tell the office was getting backed up, but not once did they make me feel rushed or less important than the next pt.Staff:Thank you for being there and for being strong for the women who can’t find their strength. They’ve definitely gotten better at wait times. I expected my wait in the lobby to be far longer than it was and I was prepared to spend hours there as with my visits in the past. The staff is still very welcoming and I felt good about my visit all around.

Everyone was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. everything they did or were going to do was well explained and i felt educated.

Staff and everything great only problem I have going there is that waiting time..they need to work on it...my appointment was at 930 am was not seen until 11 if someone has an appointment they should only have to wait 15 min after an appointment time if that not wait more then an hr especially for something simple...low staff or not but thats my only complaint is that they take hrs after appointment time to be seen other then that amazing!

I feel like a woman it’s hard to find reproductive health care that puts you at ease but this place is it! Everyone is super friendly, nonjudgmental, and helps you understand everything. All of my questions were answered and then some. Great staff as well 👍🏼

Super helpful for women but beyond slow to see the doctor even when it’s not busy in here! not sure why they have girls just sitting and waiting forever especially if it’s something quick. Hire more staff

I am not one to write but I had to share my experience. I used to go to a place called Sierra health center it was the worst place ever. Ive had terrible experiences there that place made me sceptical of other places. I was told about this FPA womens health and left feeling comforted and satisfied. The workers are kind in their voice and manners and the Dr. Her name was Joette, I am 31 years old and havent met a Dr. Like her before. She makes you feel so comfortable. I had to share this for any women that have had terrible experiences at other places to please give this place a chance, you wont regret it.

I have to say that before going to this facility I was skeptical and scared after reading some of the reviews on here , but now I can honestly say that I am very happy/ relieved that I did go . The place is very clean , everyone was so nice to me , they answered all my questions, didn’t judge me and they made me feel cared for . The waiting was kinda long , but worth the wait because I was really satisfied with the care I received .

They are always so nice here and very helpful! I have never felt more comfortable with my visits until I started coming to FPA Women’s Health.

I’ve been waiting over two hours for an appt to get one shot. They just keep shuffling you around. It’s kind of ridiculous actually. You guys can go here if you want, I won’t be coming back.

The women working here are ALL extremely friendly and awesome at their jobs !

This place is awesome, I felt comfortable and the staff there were so very awesome even the lady from the call center where I made my appt. The only thing was it takes a bit too long.

My first time coming here and I loved it . My waiting time was about 1 hour and 30 min . Includes my paper work that I needed to fill out and my check up . They are all very kind and didn’t feel rushed at all .

I went there to get my birth control switched out and UPON ARRIVING AND AFTER WAITING 30 MINUTES I was told we would have to reschedule because they dont allow children at procedures. Mind you i live 30 minutes away, work a full time job and theyre going to deny seeing me because i have my kid? Completely not ok and i will not be back to this place!

I went there today to get my IUD removed. They were judgemental about why I wanted it removed. Then the nurse [has blond frizzy hair, white] was a Nightmare! She made me very uncomfortable, gave No warning of when she would remove it. She said it was in wrong spot for 8 months! I started crying and she kept rudely asking why i was crying and i still dont understand why youre crying in a stern tone. For Gods sake she just told me she was Suprised i didnt have worse pain and that i could have gotten pregnant anytime and not know. How else would a woman respond?! On top of her ripping the IUD out of me. Ow! Terrible place. Please dont go there!

Wonderful care at this facility! I felt like my concerns were heard and that my health practitioner did an amazing job talking me through my procedure/visit.

Consistently kind caring comfortable and understanding. Everything you would expect to find at a womans health center. They go above and beyond for patients. There is a women there named shaneka who is especially caring and warm that ive been helped by. The facilities themselves are clean and well maintained as well.

The best experience I’ve had yet! Took the time to explain everything in detail to me so I understood everything that was going to be happening to me. Just be sure to make an appointment ahead of time

Well my girlfriend went in there for her first checkup and the doctor was just abrupt and rude. Left her waiting for 2 hours with an appointment. She turned away the birth control saying shes gay and the doc just said well you never know

I absolutely love this place the girls are always so nice and caring it makes all the difference when you are coming to these kids of places and they are great about checking up on you as well.

My daughter went in for birth control implant and all went well. The only negative thing was it was a long 3 hour visit.

I thought it was not a good clinic I sit in there 10am-5pm and didnt do surgery because the stuff was not even clean had old dried blood on what they were going to use and I stopped and did do it and one of the girl s work there held me in a room against my own free will to walk out and said no and held the door and would not let me out until til I pulled the door open and had to push her with the door out of the way to get out .....its wrong and the when I get home to take in the pain medication the pharmacy told me they couldnt fill the pain medication because the doctor that prescribed it ..that there license was invalid and need a current license number ....I dont think this pace should be open when things are so unorganized and not a clean place to be and should be check or closed down .....thank you Michele I dont even give it anything but poorness....

THEY RE-USE THINGS!!! I WAS THERE TO HAVE MY IMPLANT REMOVED AND THE DOCTOR TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO USE THE SAME TOOLS SHE USED WITH TWO OTHER GIRLS THAT DAY!!! I AM VERY AFRAID NOW. I WAS IN SHOCK AT WHAT SHE SAID.. I WOULD BE VERY AFRAID. I THINK ITS SAFER TO RIP THE IMPLANT OUT OF YOUR ARM YOURSELF THAN GET HIV OR AIDS ETC FROM THIS PLACE.

Dont go here if you want professional people giving out your info to people you know Ive had this happen to me and nothing was done about it because there was no proof on the internet smh. I should have took this way futher than just talking to the supervisor.

ITS ALWAYS A LONG WAIT ! EACH APPOINTMENT TAKES ABOUT 3 HOURS LONG . THERE CAN BE 3 PATIENTS IN THE ENTITE BUILDING AND THEY STILL TAKE LONG , AND THERE ALWAYS RUNNING OUT OF THINGS WHICH THEY HAVE TO CALL AND RESCHEDULE . THEY ARE SLOW , YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Worst clinic ever!! They are soooo slow even with appointment! It took me three hours! Never again!!

It can’t be a good or safe service for women or children if they take the life of a child as an option
