Five stars are not enough to rate the care, compassion, and complete professionalism that Dr. Altman has shown to me while under his care. I’ve had the happiest moment of my life and also the hardest while under his care and he went above and beyond for me in both circumstances. He is extremely knowledgeable and will go out of his way to provide you with individualized care, something very rare these days with physicians. Dr. Altman is a blessing to Modesto. May he continue to provide women with exceptional care for a very long time to come.

Dr. Altman is absolutely amazing. I always felt cared for, comfortable, and heard. Dr. Altman was by my side throughout my entire IVF pregnancy and always reassured me. After a rough labor he was the only person who could calm me down and coach me through a perfect delivery. I recommend him to all my friends and family. I can’t thank him enough for such a positive experience. Thank you Dr. Altman!

Cannot recommend Dr. Altman enough! He was by my side on the worst day of my life, the day we lost our precious baby boy at 22 weeks due to infection, and I wouldn’t have wanted any other doctor to be there.He always made my husband and I so at ease through a difficult pregnancy, and I have never been shown so much respect by another physician. Oftentimes, he and his nurse were already waiting for me in the office for my appointments.I’ve never felt rushed, and at the appointment after our loss, he stayed with me to answer every single question I had.Thank you Dr. Altman for being an example of how every physician should treat their patients! Dr Altman is amazing! Truly helps with whatever is needed to help me get through my pregnancy journey as I have had a long journey that has been hard to deal with. I’ve been seeing Dr Altman for the past 4-5 years and has always been able to be seen and taken care of at anytime day or night. This year has been a bit tough but thankful to still have Dr Altman here for me during my pregnancy he truly helps me feel better and confident I can do this and that all will be okay. Truly an amazing Dr and I hope he stays around we need more drs like him.

Dr. Altman delivered three out of my four children, and I cannot say enough about this incredible man. His knowledge, his patience, his understanding, and his drive to stay current are just a few of his strengths.With each of my pregnancies, Dr. Altman gave the special care and attention that was needed. From waiting in the room for me at my very first appointment, to each and every ultrasound, he always went above and beyond to give this Momma peace of mind. Dr. Altman never rushed or pushed a C Section, when most Doctors would have absolutely not have allowed natural deliveries, and he also corrected an intense misdiagnosis from another OB that ordered me to have a DNC, essentially saving my daughter’s life.As I have always said to my husband, Dr. Altman puts the care in health care- what an incredible gift of a human.

Dr. Altman is literally an angel on earth! Ive experienced recurring miscarriages and my first OB appointment with a different doctor was not for another few weeks. I started experiencing lower back pain and was concerned about the outcome at 11 weeks. Dr. Altman personally called and squeezed me into his schedule so that we could do an ultrasound to check on the baby. He was so kind and patient and thankfully we found out all was good with our sweet miracle babe. He even saved me a trip to Modesto in picking up our NIPT test the following Monday! His compassion and time he spent with me to reassure me are certainly unmatched. Thank you Dr. Altman!

I recently met with Dr. Altman, 10-01-2024, and I had such a great experience with him. He was very informative and very patient when it came to all my questions, I had regarding future treatments. I look forward to continuing to work with him.

Dr. Altman is, without a doubt, the most kind & compassionate doctor I have ever been privileged with. He was (& still is) my OB throughout my entire first pregnancy & he delivered my son. You wouldn’t think that he’s looked at thousands of other babies before your own because he is always beaming with happiness & excitement for your baby. Every ultrasound started with Dr. Altman saying, “there’s your gorgeous baby.” Each and every visit with Dr. Altman is incredibly helpful & accommodating. His bedside manner goes above & beyond what I could ever wish to expect. I will never forget my first visit with him because I walked into the room & he was already in there, waiting for me! I can’t thank Dr. Altman & his team enough for their impeccable care for me and my baby. I hope to have all of my pregnancies monitored by Dr. Altman!

Dr.Altman is the second OB I have had at Memorial hospital, and my experience with him and his team have been nothing short of awesome. He is very professional, and though his schedule is very busy, it wasnt too often that I had an appointment canceled without a reschedule. During my pregnancy, I never felt like I wasnt a part of making decisions for the health of me and my baby- I never felt dumb for asking questions I thought might have been dumb to ask. I have no negative comments and would refer him to anyone looking for an OB with Sutter.

Dr.Altman is the best doctor I have ever had. He was just what I needed during my first pregnancy.He spoke so calmly and made me feel comfortable and safe from the get go.I wasn’t scared to have my baby because I knew he was there. He stayed after hours to deliver our baby boy. He helped me after as well. He told me to call whenever I needed and was there for me to just listen and calm me thru my anxiety. Gosh, there are really no words to describe how amazing Dr. Altman has been throughout this pregnancy for me. This has been a unique and challenging pregnancy for me and every step of the way hes been a great doctor. Hes very kind and extremely attentive. Ive never in my life had a doctor literally sit in front of me and listen to my concerns. Every doctor Ive had is either writing or looking at papers or something, but Dr. Altman, every time will listen and then addresses those concerns. His bedside manner is one of a kind. His staff are the sweetest . I am super anxious this pregnancy and Im always contacting them. They never make me feel like Im a bother and theyre always quick to respond. If there was anyone meant to be a Dr it was Dr. Altman. I havent delivered yet, but Im not as concerned since Ive been in his care.

Dr. Altman is the best doctor which I have seen in my life. So cheerful, calm, attentive, encouraging, patience,don’t have words to explain..I am really thankful to God that luckily I got Dr. Altman during my high risk pregnancy even though I was looking for a female doctor. When I got admitted, he was busy with surgeries but he find time to check on me and calm me down. He came and delivered my baby after his work hours.His bed side care is extra ordinary which really surprised me. Thank God for him. Big clap for his excellent and support..

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Altman!! I could not recommend him more for other mamas who have suffered loss or have complicated pregnancies. His bedside manner is phenomenal, his voice is always calm and he takes time to explain things to his patients at their level. I am in the field so I knew what I wanted and I am so glad I picked Dr. Altman. He never missed a round on me when I was hospitalized, always responded to my messages and concerns timely.

Dr. Altman is the actual best dr ive ever experienced! I had a surgery with him prior to having children and then he delivered all 3 of my kids! Even when I was no longer living in Modesto, I still drove down from he bay area to be seen by him to deliver my kids. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for an OB! Hes so attentive and listens to all your issues without judgement. The BEST!

Dr. Altman is amazing. He was my care provider while pregnant with both of my children. With my first pregnancy I wanted a female Doctor but there were no female doctors available so I was put with Dr. Altman. I was nervous, but at my first visit I felt like I could not have had a better OBGYN. He is very caring, calm, respectful, attentive and knowledgable. A big plus is that he always has a smile on his face. Definately one of the best doctors anyone can have.

Dr. Altman was my OB when I was pregnant with my son. He was extremely reassuring and knowledgeable in everything. He made my pregnancy such an amazing experience, and his staff was always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Altman. He is the best in his field!

I dont think theres a more caring or compassionate OBGYN than Dr. Altman. By the grace of God, we found Dr. Altman while I was around 23 weeks pregnant with my twins. I had a high risk pregnancy and had seen several OB doctors in Modesto and at UCSF. Dr. Altman was the only one who did anything to help keep me from delivering my twins too early. Because of him, I delivered my twins at 30 weeks instead of at 23 weeks. Now, our twins are 3.5 years old and theyre healthy and thriving because one man decided to treat me like an individual person and not a statistic.Its rare to find a doctor who will actually sit and look at you and listen to you and care about what youre going through. He even came in on his day off to deliver my twins. He went above and beyond. Dr. Altman isnt just a good doctor, hes an amazing person. Our family is forever grateful for him and blessed that God put him in our path.

Delivered my 11 pound baby successfully best bedside manner and a great doctor. The best I had and she’s my third child.

I researched best OBs in our area and went with this doctor because of great reviews. First pregnancy, Week 38, I found out through an ultrasound ordered by a different OB ( I saw a different OB because Dr. Altman was out for the week), that my babies head was up, and baby was in breech position. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Altman in every appointment during my third trimester, would feel my belly and state that the babies head is down and to wait for labor. You can imagine the surprise and shock on my face. The following week, I attended my week 39 appointment with Dr. Altman, Dr. Altman proceeded with his routine of feeling my belly and stated again that babys head was down. At that moment I corrected him and told him babies head was actually up. He quickly did an ultrasound and it was confirmed babies head was up. An appointment was booked later the day for delivery. He attempted a ECV ( where the baby is manually moved to head down position) was unsuccessful because babys bottom was so wedged down into my pelvis. We had to move forward with a c-section. My plans and hopes for a natural birth were terminated. Because my baby girl was in breech position, she was born with hip-dysplasia of both hips and had to be in a full body brace until month 4. Had Dr. Altman given us accurate information, I could have addressed my baby being in a breech position in a timely manner and had more time to move her head down. I do not understand and will not accept how an OB can get this judgement wrong, as this is their expertise. IN ADDITION to this error, another red flag surfaced prior to this incident. I was 5 months pregnant, I had gotten a rash in my torso area that went to my back. I emailed him asking him about this and he stated it was a heat rash and to get over the counter cream for it. I followed his directions and the rash pain got worse where there was shooting pain from the rash. I went to urgent care and I was diagnosed with Shingles. For the carelessness I experienced, I would give him a rating of zero if I was able to.

Best OBGYN. Dr Altman is an incredibly compassionate doctor. He cares about his patients. He listens to his patients. I’m very thankful to have him as my doctor . Dr. Altman shows wonderful bed side manner too. Great great doctor .

One of the best Doctors you will ever find. He’s the best OBGYN you will find around the area. He is polite, patient, listens to your concerns carefully and answers you questions throughly. He is really prompt at responding to your messages via the app in a fast manner. If there was a 10 star option I would certainly give him 10 starts. Truly recommend him.

The best OBGYN in the central valley. He is so patient so kind and a all around genuine person who cares about his patients and their wants and needs.
